y name is Howard Ryan founder of Natural Bait, LLC.
I’m a lifelong fisherman from Long Island, New York — I grew up clamming and fishing in the Great South Bay until the bay’s decline motivated me to act. In 2012 I co‑founded SaveTheGreatSouthBay.org, and for the last decade I’ve researched and developed ecologically friendly, sustainable fishing products.
About Natural Bait
Natural Bait is the only commercially available bait for both fresh and salt water formulated with 100% FDA‑approved ingredients. The bait dissolves in 24 hours or less and safely returns to the environment if discarded.
It is nutritionally suitable for fish and produces strong fishing results — after a 12‑week trial with anglers along the New Jersey and New York coastlines, participants reported excellent performance and rapid adoption.
I developed this product with chemists over the past five years (beginning around COVID), driven by the need to reverse the %100‑year build‑up of plastic lures and baits on our shores — a problem I was part of and committed to fixing.
We’ve already received inquiries from Europe and a range of bait/tackle retailers (mom‑and‑pop shops to larger companies). Physical samples and material data are available and can be shipped for inspection.
